I_StillingsIrene M. Stillings is the executive director emeritus of the non-profit California Center for Sustainable Energy (CCSE). Her noteworthy career includes various executive positions and more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. Under her leadership, the CCSE has become a statewide resource, providing services to residents and businesses in California, as well as advice, information and counsel to elected leaders and key stakeholders in the state.

Ms. Stillings has served on boards of the American Red Cross, state Agency for Aging, the Tri-Cities Opera, Temple Concord and WSKG Radio and TV in New York. Having held leadership positions on numerous national committees, she is an active spokesperson in the energy industry on a state, national and international level.

In recognition of her many accomplishments and strong leadership, she was installed in the National Women’s Hall of Fame in New York. In California, she was honored as a Climate Champion by the American Lung Association, a 2012 Key San Diego Influential by the Daily Transcript, and received proclamations honoring her service to the community from the mayor of San Diego, the California State Senate, and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.

Irene received her bachelor’s degree, Magna cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Rochester and her master’s degree from Syracuse University.
