Dr. Lucka is the Director of the Graduate Medical Education Program at Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) and oversees the Physician Residency Programs, along with the curriculum and faculty development.  Prior to her arrival at SAMC, she enjoyed a long and fruitful career in higher education serving as the Senior Director of Development for the College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State) and, helping to raise millions in commitments for her assigned academic units at Fresno State over the course of her career. Her previous Fresno State assignments include the Lyles College of Engineering (LCOE) and the College of Science and Mathematics.  Her executive experience ranges from program direction to public relations liaison. She has developed vibrant educational and fundraising programs that boast numerous loyal and committed community partners. Her notable accomplishments include authoring two textbooks, launching the successful Valley Industry Partnership for Cooperative Education, the Knorr SIM Lab Family and Social Work Cup of Kindness.

Dr. Lucka is a Fulbright Specialist Roster Candidate, a Subject Matter Expert and adjunct faculty member at Fresno Pacific University (FPU) and has developed courses online for both FPU and the Humanics Program at Fresno State.  She is also a Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE) and was named the 2013 Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the California Valley Chapter AFP.

Dr. Lucka is life member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the Fresno State Alumni Association (Life Member).  She is actively involved in the American Educational Research Association and frequently reviews scholarly publications and conference submissions for the Association for the Study of Higher Education.  In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking with the unique bounty of the San Joaquin Valley, painting and spending time with family.
