MHS Teen Recovery Center (TRC) provides outpatient substance abuse services to adolescents, offering counseling, education and support. All our services are appropriate to the level of care necessary for our young clients to successfully address their issues.
We partner with San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) Juvenile Court and Community School to provide an integrated school and treatment program. This Day Care Habilitative (DCH) program allows school and intensive outpatient treatment to take place in one setting. We also have an outpatient drug free program that provides a lower level of care when appropriate.
We recognize that drugs and alcohol affect the entire family. Our program is designed to offer young adults the opportunity to learn and to make the changes needed to survive drug abuse, as well as to support the entire family and assist them in learning new directions and happier lifestyles.
We offer the following services for teens, families, and the community:
- Comprehensive assessments
- Individual and group counseling
- Family education
- Coordination of services with schools, hospitals and the judicial system
We serve youth between the ages of 12 – 17, who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and co-occurring issues, and who live in San Diego County’s North Inland Region (Bonsall, Palomar, Valley Center, Escondido, San Marcos, Rancho Bernardo, Rainbow, and Neighboring Communities).
Parents who are interested in enrolling their adolescent in TRC should contact the program at (760) 744-3672. Referrals can also be made through probation, schools, and other treatment providers.
Other people may be there to help us, teach us, guide us along our path, but the lesson to be learned is always ours.
