Our Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) – Fresno program provides intensive case management to at-risk youth and their families. An in-home, community-based program, we combine behavioral coaching and case management in a short-term intensive service.  Our services build healthier individuals, as they offer adaptive skills to children, adolescents, and their caregivers. Offering choices and alternatives to challenging behaviors, these services assist high-risk youth in maintaining their placement or transitioning to lower levels of care. We teach behavior management techniques that help families establish boundaries and structure to create a healthier home for their children. Services take place at any time of the day, depending on the needs of the client and when the target behaviors occur.
 

Program Services

TBS – Fresno’s intensive home and community-based interventions are provided for an average of three months. During this time, a trained Therapeutic Behavioral Coach works with the youth and family for an agreed upon number of hours each week to:
  • Create and implement an individual treatment plan unique to the client’s needs
  • Assist the client and caregiver with the development of structure and new learning experiences that promote healthy behaviors
  • Support the family in gaining new life skills
 

Eligibility Requirements:

We children and youth under the age of 21 who are at high risk of being hospitalized or placed in group homes due to a wide range of significant behavioral issues. Clients are referred to TBS by the Department of Behavioral Health, Managed Care Division at (559) 600-4645. The client’s mental health provider must contact the Managed Care Division to access TBS services. Family members or care providers may also call for more information on eligibility for services.
