- Case Management
SASCA (Substance Abuse Services Coordination Agency) offers parolees enrolled in an in-prison Substance Abuse Program (SAP) the opportunity to continue substance abuse treatment for up to six months after they are released on parole. Our SASCA services include in-prison outreach and assessment, referral to a community-based treatment programs, case management and follow-up services. In addition, we transport clients from the prison gate directly to the community-based treatment program.
MHS SASCA uses a network of approved community-based programs to provide residential and outpatient treatment, and sober living environments. We then serve as a liaison between providers, the SAPS, and Parole.
Our goals are to:
• Lead the client to successfully reintegrate into their community.
• Reduce both relapse and recidivism among program clients.
• Promote behavior that improves our communities and the lives of our clients as they
live free of drugs and crime.
Our clients benefit by receiving:
• Comprehensive re-entry services to help them successfully return to their
communities.
• Wrap-around case management services that build on each client’s strengths.
• Transportation from the in-prison substance abuse program to the community
treatment facility.
• Residential placement, sober-living and outpatient services.
• Up to 180 days of aftercare services.
