MHS has established a new division, Community Support Services. Joining this division is one of San Diego’s premier programs, Heartbeat Family Partnership (HFP). This corner-stone program provides opportunities for the families of children with emotional, behavioral or mental disorders to partner with professionals to improve the lives of their children. Heartbeat’s mission is to provide leadership and a voice for these families through referrals to appropriate social services agencies, and act as advocates regarding prevention, early intervention and family support.
