The Washington Post - House Republicans are vowing to vote on repeal of the health reform law in the first weeks of the new Congress, which convenes on Wednesday. Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.), incoming chairman of one of the House committee that oversees health policy, said undoing the law would be a top priority for the new GOP-controlled Congress.

Parity Law Prompts Some Health Plans to Cut MH Benefits

Wall Street Journal -- Members of the Screen Actors Guild recently read in their health plan's newsletter that, beginning in January, almost 12,000 of its participants will lose access to treatment for mental-health and substance-abuse issues.

NPR and 45 of their affiliates throughout the state are airing an hour-long radio program on mental health.

It profiles two Mental Health Services Act (Prop 63) programs and includes an interview with Senator Steinberg on the MHSA, among other interesting segments.
