 August's Wellness Blast addresses the topic of Smoking Cessation. Articles covered are "Why It's So Hard to Quit Smoking", Statistics on Smoking, The Methods of Quitting, Information & Resources to help you in the process. Read More

 MHS and the San Diego Sheriff's Department collaborate on the Tip the Scale program. The program is geared to give drug users the opportunity to talk with substance abuse counselors who can guide them to available treatment resources and ensure they stay current with court-ordered drug counseling. In addition, family members receive information about community resources, including support services like Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous.

 MHS Vice President Laura Otis-Miles provides testimony to the California Assembly’s Select Committee on Homelessness. In the second in a series of regional stops which include Sacramento and Los Angeles, the Committee convened in San Diego.
