San Diego Mental Health Care Provider Recognized for Community Efforts

San Diego, CA -- (April 6, 2011) Mental Health Systems (MHS) has just learned that their video titled, Hope in Action, has received a Bronze Telly Award. Produced by MJE Marketing, the award winning video highlights the success of MHS as they carry out their mission to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities impacted by substance abuse and behavioral health issues.

March 23, 2011 – Mark Blackshear, Youth Leadership Trainer at Mental Health Systems' Caring Helpers leadership training program, was recognized for the “Up and Coming Leadership Award” by the National Council. With 1,800 member organizations, the National Council is the unifying voice of America's behavioral health organizations.

September 8, 2010 — San Diego, Calif. — Mental Health Systems held their second annual Southwest Regional Integrated Behavioral Health Conference this September. This year’s conference provided a forum for exploring the complex social service issues in integrating treatment for clients with addiction and mental health disorders. Internationally known presenters, including Dr. Dan Siegel, MD, Dr. Lisa Najavits, Ph.DDr.

At MHS we are well aware of the expertise of our leaders and take pride when others acknowledge it as well. We were therefore happy to learn that David Conn, our Senior Vice President of Corrections & Rehabilitation, was interviewed for an article in today’s SignOnSanDiego Newsletter.
