The New Chapter Support Center provides outreach, engagement and information and referral for library patrons impacted by homelessness or behavioral health issues. The program is operated in partnership with The City of San Diego, San Diego Public Library.

This quality partnership provides an opportunity for outreach to library patrons who may be interested in receiving information about available no-cost mental health, housing and other social services. The New Chapter Support Center has access to the resources necessary to reduce the stigma related to mental illness and homelessness that can create barriers to recovery and attaining stable and permanent  housing.

Central Library located in downtown San Diego.

Eligibilty

The New Chapter Support Center addresses the needs of library patrons impacted by homelessness or behavioral health issues. We serve adults at least 18 years of age or older who patron the Central Library.

Referrals

Individuals accessing services at our program are self-referred or referred by library staff or volunteers.
