The MHS Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Program provides intensive case management to at-risk youth and their families. This in-home, community based, voluntary program serves youth up to 21 years of age by combining behavioral coaching and case management into short-term intensive service. The length of a TBS case is determined by the client's progress on those behaviors that are putting the client's placement at risk. . Referrals to the TBS program are received from the County TBS program.
The goal of the program is to help maintain the placement of children with moderate to severe behavioral problems and prevent them from moving to a higher level of placement, or to assist them in the successful transition to a lower level of care. The services are time-limited and take place at any time of the day, depending on the needs of the client and when the target behaviors are occurring.
