Re: Draft Counselors Licensing & Certification Law
A message from Renée Zito, Director, ADP:
I am delighted to be able to share with you draft language that would create a statutory counselor certification and licensing system. A great deal of effort has already gone into this material and I believe that most of our stakeholders will be pleased to see concepts that have been discussed for some time. But we also know that additional data and input are needed to ensure that we get a good, workable system that will help counselors get the professional respect they deserve while balancing the need for consumer protection.
