Tommy Chunn knew from a very young age that his calling was to make people laugh, including himself. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Tommy is an African American, whose father was adopted by a man of Asian descent (which explains the name). Through highly animated facial expressions, physical contortions, masterful use of word-play, innuendo and dead-on impersonations, Tommy tells hilarious stories which draw from the hardships of his own life experiences. Living most of his teenage and adult life alternating "black" and forth between Detroit and San Diego largely accounts for his universal perspectives, enhanced versatility and overall broad appeal. Tommy has performed on HBO's Russell Simmons comedy specials, FOX's Def Comedy Jam: Prime Time, 60 Minutes comedy special, Evening at the Improv, and B.E.T.'s Comic View, as well as appearing with Harry Belafonte, Roy Ayers, Isaac Hayes, Neol Pointer, Martin Lawrence, Dennis Miller, Tim Allen and Richard Pryor.
