Program Description
Fresno FIRST is a residential, substance abuse, gender responsive, trauma informed, therapeutic community. It is a part of the Female Offenders Treatment and Employment Program (FOTEP) and provides services to women parolees and their children.
 
Position Description
·      Overall responsibility for program operation, staffing, planning, coordination, and implementation of program policies and procedures and services.
·      Plans, directs and coordinates all program activities. Manages contract services and the placement of in-prison graduates into community treatment programs.
·      Adheres to program budget and reviews monthly operating statements.  Maintains accurate financial records.
·      Consults with and seeks supervision from Associate Vice President on budgetary and financial matters
·      Acts as liaison with Parole and community-based providers.
·      Ensures participant needs.
·      Chairs weekly treatment and staff meetings.
·      Supervises and coaches staff.
·      Other duties as assigned.
 
Education/Experience Requirements
·         4 yr degree in the Social Sciences or related field.
·       5 years experience in substance abuse programs for the criminal justice population, or equivalent of 5  years full time administrative experience in substance abuse programs combined with familiarity with working in a correctional environment, may be substituted.
·      2 years of experience working in a substance abuse program with criminal justice offenders.
·       2  years of supervisory experience.
·      Thorough working knowledge of the 12-Step program.
