Program Description
The BPSR Clubhouse in Escondido is a supportive, holistic, member-directed, recovery and rehabilitation community where adults living with a mental illness, or a dual-diagnosis, join to enhance their well-being, achieve their aspirations, and experience a sense of dignity, hope and belonging. Our Clubhouse members work side-by-side with staff to manage the Clubhouse and participate in the educational, vocational, wellness and social activities offered in the clubhouse.
Position Description
- Responsible for the overall operation of the program including ensuring quality of services, staff management, leadership and supervision, financial matters, administrative activities, record keeping, safety and compliance.
- Provides leadership to staff and promotes the Fountain House model in service provision and program design.
- Promotes the Clubhouse to the community by giving presentations and providing education to consumers and stakeholders.
- Develops transitional and supported employment opportunities for members and ensures their implementation.
- Ensures full member participation in all aspects of the Clubhouse, seeking resolutions through consensus building.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
- Licensure as a MFT, LCSW or Psychologist or similar licensure in the State of California or License Waivered.
- Five years of experience working with mentally ill and dually diagnosed populations in a clinical setting.
- Two years of supervisory experience in a similar work setting.
