Program Description
FRCCC provides intensive rehabilitative services for female inmates in a community correctional rehabilitative environment. It is designed to provide gender-specific comprehensive re-entry & rehabilitative services within the CDCR system. Services include, substance abuse treatment, education, relapse prevention, individual, group & family counseling, educational & vocational programs, skill building, family reunification, wellness, exercise & other therapeutic services.
Position Description
•Maintains a caseload as prescribed by the Supervising Counselor. Delivers substance abuse Tx to residents by providing a variety of interventions including individual & group therapy, twelve-step methodology, & other relevant sobriety-related services.
•Works directly w/the resident to provide orientation to treatment program & the concept of sobriety, develop & implement Tx plans, provide counseling & recovery services, information & education, vocational training, & relapse prevention, develop community resources for continued community treatment, and, establish a supportive relationship w/residents.
Education/Experience Requirements
•HS diploma, GED, or equi. & exp. wking w/sub. abusers. Be certified w/in 2 yrs in SA services in CJ setting.
