Program Description
Fresno FIRST is a residential substance abuse, gender responsive, trauma informed therapeutic community. It is a part of Female Offenders Treatment and Employment Program (FOTEP) and provides Services to women parolees and their children.
Position Description
· Reports to Child Development Specialist or Program Manager
· Responsible for curriculum development and implementation and quarterly student assessment and staff supervision.
· Works closely with & directs volunteer activity.
· Plans indoor and outdoor activities.
· Maintains records of student progress using quarterly evaluation instruments.
· Attends weekly staff meetings.
· Submits monthly material/supply lists to accommodate curriculum needs.
· Maintains a daily record of relevant events.
· Monitors teacher-child ratio and notifies Program Manager when capacity is exceeded.
· Maintains current curriculum models via college courses, personal research and professional workshops and seminars.

Education/Experience Requirements
· Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science plus 12 units Early Childhood Education
· Two years working with preschool age children
