Job Application: AOD Counselor
Program Description
North Inland Regional Recovery Center provides non-residential outpatient substance abuse treatment services designed to accommodate working and non-working men, women and adolescents. Our professionally trained counselors provide assessment, treatment and education components for court mandated programs and self-referrals from the community. Additionally, our facilitated recovery groups include relapse prevention, anger management, employment skills, family, parenting and support networks.
Position Description
· Entry level
· Develops and implements treatment plans; provides a variety of interventions including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, collateral services, and other relevant sobriety-related services to the clients.
· Provides timely written documentation on a caseload of 20 to 40 clients.
· Attends treatment meetings and provides input to treatment plan
· Integrates the clinical concept with sound theoretical and practical applications of rehabilitative and individual group and milieu counseling principles
· Reports to the on site program manager for consult and supervision.
Education/Experience Requirements
· AOD Certified or registered with a AOD certifying body and in the process of certifying
· Two years experience working with alcohol and drug related issues/addictions
