After spending the last fifteen years working with addiction and mental health issues in Modesto, California, Jenny Bates has become Mental Health Systems’ Vice President for the Northern Region and is based in Fresno, California. Among her many responsibilities, she oversees the rehabilitation and operation of the Hacienda. Jenny has been an MHS program manager for the last seven years. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2004, she previously managed MHS’ Teen Recovery Center in Modesto. She developed and implemented the center’s programs, provided individual, group and family therapy, and acted as a community liaison regarding addiction and co-occurring treatment and services. In addition, she is a member of MHS’ Guide Team for implementing gender-responsive services for women. She was recently honored with the 2008 Outstanding Alumnus by California State University Stanislaus’ Master of Social Work Program for her efforts to combat substance abuse in her community.
