Tina Moreno joined Mental Health Systems in 2000, bringing with her a strong background in substance abuse counseling and 12 years experience in the field of writing and editing. As Director of Communications, she develops, writes and edits marketing and public relations materials for the agency. Her oversight extends to assuring the quality of MHS proposals and grant narratives.

In her former role as Director of Grants for MHS, Tina was responsible for the timely submission of hundreds of proposals and grant applications, which secured in excess of $80,000,000 annually in awarded contracts. Prior to this, she worked as a substance abuse counselor at two MHS programs that serve parenting women.

Her professional writing experience includes ghost writing, contributions in numerous publications, and the content editing of 28 books released by leading publishers, such as Ballantine Books, Health Communications, Inc. (HCI), Jeremy P. Tarcher Inc., and Adams Media. Ms. Moreno also co-authored a book published for youth on the topic of living drug free.
