Michael Hawkey has more than 20 years’ experience in finance and administration management, including more than eight years of oversight for Mental Health Systems’ County, State, and Federal contracts. He has fiscal responsibility for more than 100 mental health and/or substance abuse contracts with annual revenues exceeding $85 million dollars. The contracts he manages include those for San Diego, San Bernardino, Fresno, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Riverside and Orange Counties; the State of California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation; and Federal SAMHSA and Department of Labor grants. Prior to joining MHS, Michael served as CFO for the Institute of Management Resources, a $50 million global management consultancy. He began his career with financial organizations in the aerospace and defense industries. Michael was honored as the San Diego Business Journal’s CFO of the year in 2007 and 2008.
