Families Forward believes in the importance of going a step beyond the day to day mission of providing quality wraparound services to children, youth, and their families. It is our goal to provide groups, classes, and activities that can only meet the needs of both individual and family needs but also serve to bring our families together to be able to network and provide support to one another.

 
June 25, 2008:

Families Forward sponsored a county-wide training on "Mood and Behavior Issues in Children and Adolescents" featuring Dr. Axelson and Dr. Chang. Dr. Axelson and Dr. Chang are nationally renowned speakers and experts on mood disorders. The event took place at the Bahia Hotel on Mission Bay. It was well attended by county and county contracted staff, community partners, and family members.

April 28, 2008:

Families Forward Family Service Coordinator, Talin Yesaie, won the Mental Health STAR Award in the "Behavioral Health" category for San Diego County. Talin has worked for Families Forward since July 6, 2005. She is an excellent wrap facilitator that frequently goes “above and beyond” in all that she does. She is also a wrap trainer and participates on the Families forward Recognition Committee. Talin’s presence and skills contribute to the success of both our families and the program!
