Clinical Supervision Course

This course is designed specifically for persons wanting to provide clinical supervision to persons in the AOD and Mental Health field.

It offers CE's and the course content is appropriate for hours toward a clinical supervisor certification with CADAAC, CAS, Breining Institute and CAADE.*
It is also has BBS approval for hours toward IMFT, MFT's and LCSW.
RECENTLY APPROVED FOR APA for Psychologist

Participants will receive an attendance certificate in Clinical Supervision and/or a 24-hour Continuing Education certificate. Participants may utilize this certificate as part of the different certifying agencies clinical certification or credentialing programs

Day I
• Overview of different certifying agency requirements;
• Overview of counselor competencies
• Identifying foundation areas in clinical supervision;
• Defining Clinical Supervision;
• Ethics, boundaries and professional code of ethics

Day II
• Theories roles and models of counseling;
• Evidence based supervision;
• Theories of supervision;
• Modalities of Clinical Supervision;
• Application to practice;
• Focus on gender, culture and MI;
• Crisis supervision;
• Providing case consultation;

Day III
• Self Evaluations for supervisors;
• Monitoring supervision;
• Completing intern evaluations;
• Importance of continued education and learning;
• Utilization of learning styles;
• Review of management/supervision assessment tools;
• Supervisor alliance relationships

Fresno Schedule: July 7th, 8th and 9th (**Early enrollment discount ends June 20, 2010)

San Diego Schedule: July 20th, 21st and 22nd 2010 (**Early enrollment discount ends July 15, 2010)
