Alcohol and Depression in Adults - San Diego
About one-half of individuals with a substance use disorder will have a mood or anxiety disorder at some time in their lives. You will learn to identify gender differences in depression. You will analyze a co-occurring case study and develop an integrated treatment plan.
The objectives for this training are the following:
• Practice skills in developing empathy towards the client and oneself.
• Analyze a co-occurring case study and develop an integrated treatment plan.
• Define the symptoms of major depressive disorder (MDE) and alcohol use disorder.
• Summarize data on the incidence of MDE and alcohol use disorder among adults.
