Description: 

CARING HELPERS LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM mentors and trains youth and adults to be outstanding leaders in their communities. It is an extensive training program designed to help participants recognize their own strengths and develop leadership skills. Adults and youth learn to become mentors and promote leadership roles for other family members in the Children’s System of Care. We update and enhance our curriculum consistently in order to provide the most informative and up-to-date topics.

 
WHAT DO WE TRAIN IN?

  • Parent and Youth Leadership Training
  • Understanding Mental Illness in Children/Youth from a family’s perspective
  • Family and Youth Support Partner Basics Training
  • Parenting Skills
  • Teen Empowerment, Advocacy and Mentoring Training (T.E.A.M.)

*Some classes are provided in Spanish and Asian languages.

 
WHO DO WE TRAIN?

  • Adults and Youth
  • Employees and Volunteers
  • Community-based organizations, churches, schools, etc.

 
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

  • Any adult or youth is welcome to voluntarily participate.
  • Agencies or organizations can refer staff or clients.
  • Agencies or organizations can request trainings or presentations at their sites.

Our goal is training leaders to strengthen communities
