Pick your Path at Mental Health SystemsOver the years, MHS has expanded its services to meet growing community needs. We have evolved into a comprehensive agency that provides state-of-the-art mental health, alcohol and drug services. These services include a broad range of prevention, early intervention, integrated treatment, diversion and vocational programs. Currently, MHS operates more than 90 community-based programs throughout California and Utah. We offer culturally appropriate, client-centered and strengths-based services and programs for children, transition age youth, adults, older adults and families.  MHS’ programs are publicly funded and available to those who cannot afford privately paid services and would be otherwise unable to receive them.

MHS divisions include Mental Health Services, Corrections and Rehabilitation and Alcohol and Drug Services.  Each division provides services to individuals, families and communities who have unique needs, including but not limited to the seriously mentally ill, dually diagnosed, transitioning youth, homeless mentally ill, homeless veterans, and individuals involved with the criminal justice or correctional system.

Through its Professional Development Department, MHS also provides opportunities for quality education for people working in the behavioral health field. This includes our school, William R. Mead Training Academy for students entering the fields of alcohol and other drug treatment and integrated services. Students can earn certificates of expertise in a variety of professional specialties. The Professional Development Department also offers an array of cutting edge trainings for MHS employees as well as community members through conferences and smaller training venues.
